BDD Training at the Gaia School

A three days training for teachers at the Gaia Primary School with three main goals: bring to them a personal experience of the body-space interactions through a short test of adapted ATB (Awareness through the body) techniques;  present our BDD (Body Driven Design) method to design outdoor and indoor spaces; support them in the understanding of children needs through the observation of their free play.

The 1st day consists of an outdoor session of ATB activities aimed at achieving a self consciousness of personal needs in relation to the space.

The 2nd day was a presentation and debate on the BDD method.

The 3rd day consists of supporting teachers in their observation of kids free play and how they respond to different spatial conditions, helping them to identify limits, conflict, opportunities for future transformations.
