LA PELL DE LA CIUTAT IN GLORIES
This project has been developed on the frame of “La pell de la ciutat” cooperative, founded in 2015 by several member of Lemur in collaboration with Elena Guim and Mar Valldeoriola, dissolved in 2017.
La pell de la ciutat in Glòries is an educative and participative project, co-funded by Barcelona City Council, developed with children and educational community of La Farigola school and Els Encants school. The decision of situating Glòries as the scenario for the project tries to answer the design of this space from official story: an urban centrality to the scale of city which is in danger of outing some other voices that might take a part on its perception and configuration, ignoring and debilitating the edged and the scale of neighborhood. La pell de la ciutat in Glòries has decided to situate itself in those edges to read spontaneous urbanistic episodes and letting out those normally unlistened voices, specially the childhood ones.
The project has been developed on 5 phases (knowing, experimentation, mapping, proposal, evaluation) through a pack of dynamics from experience and experimentation of the surroundings, the concretions of proposal to the conclusion, and evaluation of the lived experience of both schools.

OUTCOMES
- Children have been able to notice how the feel in Glòries Square area and have learn communication tools.
- Children have been able to feel and experiment that their opinion was important, which has strengthened their self-esteem and one’s self consciousness and active subjects.
- Schools have reinforced their role as public spaces inside the neighborhood community space ensemble, open meeting places, dialogue and participation of children, families, and neighbors.
